APPLY NOW: International Summer Workshop “KeyWorks – Schlüsselwerke”, 22 to 30 August 2015 at wannseeFORUM, Berlin

We invite 40 young people from Germany, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, and Sweden between the ages of 18 and 26 years to this year’s International Summerworkshop, a nine-day international youth exchange combining artistic workshops and group activities at wannseeFORUM, beautifully situated on a lakeshore in the south-west of Berlin.

Our topic: „ KeyWorks – Schlüsselwerke“

Can’t we all recall the song that made up our personal soundtrack to falling in love for the first time? The first time we went to the cinema? The book that we „escaped“ to when times were hard? Our personal „key works“ have something magical about them: They take us along on a journey into our past and let us experience anew what it felt like being us back then. They make us reflect on our identity – in the past, present, and the future.

Together we will explore biographical „key works“ of any kind, like songs, films, stories, images, plays, etc. These „cultural milestones“ of our lives will form the starting points for individual artistic explorations and projects, they can be transformed, re-arranged, cross-combined – or serve as a source of inspiration for entirely new „key works“.

Program

You will spend nine days at wanseeFORUM with an international group of young people. Within four artistic workshops of 9-11 participants, led by professional artists you will explore the topic, develop ideas and create a unique artistic project which will be presented at the end of the exchange. With your workshop group you will go on excursions to the city centre and explore Berlin with much insight information.

Our facilities include a theatre studio, atelier, multimedia equipment, free wifi and a great outdoor area on the lakeside. In between workshop-sessions you may enjoy a variety of free time activities with the group or relax by the lake.

Workshops: Music, Dance, Black-and-White Photography, Theatre, Experimental Film(more details you find under the topic: workshops 2015)
