The Märkisches Viertel visits Wannsee: For the profile and advanced art courses at the Bettina von Arnim School, it has long been a tradition to kick off the second semester with the KunstFORUM , an intensive artistic project week at the WannseeFORUM. This time, there was a special reason to celebrate: the KunstFORUM turned ten! This time, the tried-and-tested format is supported by the ATRIUM youth art school . The theme that the 44 students explored artistically this year was "Crazy Reality – Reality Crazy ."
For six intensive days, sometimes even late into the night, the participants searched for individual approaches and questions about being and becoming mad, explored the boundaries between madness and reality, broadened their perspectives—and sooner or later, all encountered the big question of the extent to which "normal" and "mad" can even be distinguished from one another. The five workshops, led by experienced artists, offered ample scope for research, experimentation, discarding, conceptualization, and presentation: This year's artistic menu included photography (led by Falk Weiß), painting (Felix Pestemer), theater (Tanja Otolski), video (Michaela Kniep), and drawing (Ursula Keller).
An impressive final presentation, attended by a large crowd, brought the 10th KunstFORUM to a close. Some of the results can be seen here:
