The Märkisches Viertel district comes to Wannsee: For the advanced and specialized art classes at the Bettina-von-Arnim-School, it has long been a tradition to begin the second semester with the KunstFORUM, an intensive week-long artistic project at the wannseeFORUM. This year there was a special reason to celebrate: the KunstFORUM turned ten! The established program is supported by the Youth Art School ATRIUM. The theme that the 44 students explored artistically this year was "CrazyReality – Reality Crazy."
For six intense days, sometimes stretching late into the night, the participants embarked on a search for individual approaches to and questions surrounding madness and madness, explored the boundaries between delusion and reality, broadened their perspectives – and sooner or later all encountered the fundamental question of to what extent "normal" and "madness" can even be distinguished from one another. The five workshops, led by experienced artists, offered ample space for research, experimentation, discarding, conceptualizing, and presentation: This year's artistic menu included photography (led by Falk Weiß), painting (Felix Pestemer), theater (Tanja Otolski), video (Michaela Kniep), and drawing (Ursula Keller).
The 10th Art Forum concluded with an impressive final presentation attended by a large audience. Some of the results can be seen here:
