The world came together at the wannseeFORUM. 62 young people, four continents, three partners, and one language. The success of the annual International Project Workshop, a collaboration between the wannseeFORUM, the Goethe-Institut, and the Nelson Mandela School, demonstrates how art fosters communication.This year, 34 young people came to the wannseeFORUM for a three-week German course offered by the Goethe-Institut. In the second week, they met with 28 students from the Nelson Mandela School. Seven artistic workshops on the theme of time were held, where they creatively explored how to communicate in German: whether in the photo lab, the dance studio, or at the evening party – the collaboration created new opportunities for contact, sparked interest, and often blossomed into friendships. The success of this now four-year-long partnership was officially celebrated with a contract signed by all three partners at the presentation.
