Migration has existed since the dawn of humankind. Nevertheless, the debate surrounding migration has been and continues to be fraught with fear and prejudice.
On March 31, 46 trainees from the Louise Schröder School came to the WannseeFORUM to address the topic of flight and migration as part of the seminar "Flight to Europe."
Through intensive research, excursions (e.g., the Bad Belzig halfway house, the Gerhart Hauptmann School in Kreuzberg), and interviews with refugees, migrants, and experts, the participants explored numerous aspects of the topic during the seminar week. They addressed, among other things, the various reasons for flight and migration, the biographies and everyday lives of immigrants, asylum legislation, and labor migration within Europe. The discussion took place in five workshop groups (audio, weblog, rap).
The entire seminar was documented by the weblog group on the self-created Padlet .
The result was a two-hour radio show that on Alex Radio April 5, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The rap group contributed two tracks.
