What will the school of the future look like, and what comes after school? How will society develop in the coming years? And what influence does the individual have on shaping our shared future? – These are the questions that student representatives from the Fritz-Reuter High School , the Röntgen School , and the Goethe Gymnasium explored at the wannseeFORUM from October 21st to 27th, 2013. In small, mixed-school groups, they engaged with the topic of "the future," examining its multifaceted aspects through media and artistic expression under the guidance of guest lecturers

during the audio workshop . The first piece deals with the situation of homosexuals and attitudes towards them, while the second examines the connection between nutrition and the environment. Despite the different topics, both audio groups reached the same conclusion: diverse lifestyles should be approached with openness and acceptance.

In the black and white photography , series of images on topics such as climate change or friendship were created.

The Digital Photo Story group developed a visionary story illustrating the diversity of possible life paths for participants in 15 years. The conclusion was that while one's own biography depends on many variables (education, luck), "the future is what you make of it!"

The students in the theater workshop went a step further with their predictions for the future, as part of their play took place in the year 2099. Whether student councils will introduce a day each week by then when electricity and cell phones are switched off in schools remains to be seen.

The weblog group wasn't content with simply documenting the seminar's results on their self-created weblog, ZukunftsVisionen (Future Visions), but also conducted their own interviews with the participants. They wanted to know how others envisioned their future, how the school supported them in this, and whether they felt they could shape their own future. The students' video interviews with these questions can also be viewed on the weblog
