16.-22.2.2015
Wilma-Rudolph-School , the Willi-Graf-Gymnasium , and the Paulsen-Gymnasium gathered again for an artistic training seminar at the wannseeFORUM. The weblog group documented the seminar at https://forutopia.wordpress.com/ .
Felix from the video group has summarized the past few days from his perspective:
"Another year at wannseeFORUM has come to an end, and we are all very sad that it's already over, because this year we had a truly fun and lively group. The members' willingness to engage in discussion also ensured that we had a very open and interesting debate club, but more on that later…"
It started as always with presentations from the respective schools on Monday morning. Although some of us had just finished an exam, the atmosphere there was already very good.
And after just a few hours here at the wannseeFORUM, most people realized that the food here is once again great and plentiful.
After a small get-to-know-you evening afterwards, the students' mood was even more open.
Tuesday began with a fantastic introduction by the black and white photography group. A warm-up game, where the goal was to fling two pillows across the room as quickly as possible, ensured that we all started the day in a lively mood.
Furthermore, we began taking the first steps for our project in our respective workshops. A brief introduction to the school law was also included.
In the evening, we racked our brains over the difficult questions of this world while playing Jeopardy.
On Wednesday we started creating the majority of our projects.
The debate club in the evening sparked great discussions, with topics such as: should Berlin apply for the Olympics, or should meat only be served in schools on one day of the week?.
On Thursday, the groups began putting the finishing touches on their projects.
For lunch, we had very tasty gnocchi with tomato sauce and baked chicken, which made us wonder how we could top that at the final meal.
The day of the presentations had arrived, and as the preparations were finalized, the excitement grew. The presentations began with a fantastic production of Romeo and Juliet by the theater group, followed by one of the three radio contributions from the audio group.
Then came a nice presentation of the gallery and the black and white workshop.
After that, there were two more informative radio segments from the audio group and the presentation of the weblog. Unfortunately, there were a few technical problems, but these were handled in a humorous way. After the final segment from the video group, a film about bullying, everyone went with the guests for a relaxing coffee and cake. The evening's program was also very entertaining. We held a musical talent challenge evening, which was very popular with participants in some of the fun challenges.
On Saturday, we had some heated discussions during a mock student council meeting. It wasn't very realistic, but it was still great fun and very informative. A big shout-out to the kitchen staff is in order, as the final buffet that day was delicious.
Regarding the party on Saturday, all that remains to be said is that everyone must have had a lot of fun and that we are all sad to be leaving again. And a big thank you also to the seminar leaders and teachers who made this possible for us
