All participants kicked off BBB18 with a "homebase lab": In the "Pixel-Home" station, a house with a garden was created from numerous sticky notes exploring the concept of home. A short animation on Vimeo shows the creation process. (To play, you must click on the image below. Please note that by starting the video, data will be transmitted to Vimeo.)

The ideas ranged from staged scenes to street photography and were further developed and implemented in the following days under scorching heat:

On the penultimate day of BBB18, BilderBewegten 2018 presented their „#homebase“ works to guests. Some of the work can also be seen on Flickr. „"Analog Eyes"“ by Sayad Bayeqra, „"A house"“ Jonas Surel, „"Hometown"“ by Rama and Ranin, „What is a home made of?“ by Elisa Karstädt, „Concepts of home“ by Anahita Khamseh and „Dandelions“ by Salma Jaber, „Four Portraits“ by Jonathan Paul, „"Personal"“ by Kai Otte

The second stop was the Exhibition of the Digital Photography Workshop, the selected works showed:

Some of the work from this workshop group has also been published on Flickr.Note: Clicking on the following photo will take you to the Flickr album featuring works from the digital photography workshop group. Some will soon be available at „eye_land: homeland, escape, photography“/eye-land.org to be seen again.

We are already looking forward to BBB19: October 12th to 19th, 2019.

Impressions from BBB18 „#homebase“ on Flickr „#homebase“: Was macht ein Zuhause zum Zuhause?, fragte die BilderBewegungBerlin 2018.
Intensive work was carried out in the three workshop groups: black and white photography, digital photography and photographic film The discussion focused on what being at home and a concept like homeland means to each individual. The flipchart from the photo film workshop's work process visualizes the exchange on the question of visions for home – alongside "Roots" and "Re-Start," one of the three categories of the nationwide project. „eye_land: homeland, escape, photography“/eye-land.org , all of which served as inspiration for the exchange on “homebase”.
Participants also received inspiration for developing their own visual concepts through excursions, including one on Sunday to various exhibitions in Berlin, such as the tour of the University of the Arts. Further trips to Berlin followed – in line with the developed concepts and for exploring the city together.

![""]("https://wannseeforum.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bbb18_berlin3.jpg")
