But where do our groceries come from? What influence do large corporations or the supermarket next door have on our diets? Do we really need fresh strawberries in winter, and what does our biofuel have to do with hunger or environmental destruction on other continents? <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">In a five-day seminar, 40 students from <a title=\"Hector-Peterson School\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hpo-berlin.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hector-Peterson School<\/a> and the <a title=\"Carl von Ossietzky School\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cvo-berlin.de\/\" target=\"_blank\">Carl von Ossietzky School<\/a> They dealt with these and other questions and presented their results in the theater hall of the wannseeFORUM at the end. <!--more-->The audio group&#039;s radio play &quot;Globalization for All?&quot; explored the effects of mass production. It recounted a fictional journey to one of the world&#039;s largest greenhouses. The rap group wrote and performed lyrics on the topics of politics, globalization, and nutrition. The theater group presented the play &quot;Pure Water Rights.&quot; <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">The group addressed the questions of who owns the water and whether it should be sold to corporations. They presented their analysis of the problems and conflicts surrounding land use in palm oil production on their own website. <a title=\"Eating with a conscience\" href=\"http:\/\/essenmitgewissen.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Weblog<\/a> \u201eEating with a conscience\u201c is presented.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The project was created in cooperation between the wannseeFORUM Foundation and the Victor Gollancz Adult Education Center Steglitz-Zehlendorf<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.berlin.de\/vhs-steglitz-zehlendorf\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"vhslogo\" src=\"http:\/\/essenmitgewissen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/12\/vhslogo.gif?w=178&amp;h=93\" width=\"178\" height=\"93\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and was supported by:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.engagement-global.de\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"globallogo\" src=\"http:\/\/essenmitgewissen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/12\/globallogo.jpg?w=750\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmz.de\/de\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"BMZ_Logo\" src=\"http:\/\/essenmitgewissen.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/12\/bmz_logo.png?w=750\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Berlin als multikultureller Stadt geho\u0308rt Essen aus aller Welt zu unserem Alltag.
