In March 2024, the International Easter Workshop with the theme “Borders and Bridges” took place at wannseeFORUM. Young people from different European countries came together to explore the question of how borders – whether physical, cultural or social – influence our identity and how we can overcome these borders to build communities and solidarity.
In artistic workshops, the participants worked together with professional artists and developed unique art projects based on the workshop’s questions. Whether photography, film, painting, music or dance – each group brought their perspectives and ideas into impressive works, which were shown in a final public presentation.
In addition to the creative work, the program also included joint leisure activities and an excursion to the Berlin Wall Memorial. The beautiful grounds of wannseeFORUM on the lakeside and the relaxed atmosphere provided the perfect setting to develop ideas in an inspiring environment.
The six days together not only gave the participants the opportunity to deepen their artistic skills, but also to make new friends and engage intensively with the theme of “Borders and Bridges”.
