Break down barriers, create access
We are constantly working to improve our Spaces and services to make it more accessible. This includes, for example:
- new guidance systems,
- better lighting,
- modern technology.
In our seminars we focus on:
- simple language,
- including methods
- Accessible materials.
Our accessible rooms:
- the theater hall with ramp and wheelchair-accessible toilet
- The atrium, including Studio South and West, is accessible by elevator.
- the café and the Blue Salon on the ground floor
- an accessible overnight room in the country house
- an accessible overnight room in the atrium
Networking for diversity and inclusion
Nationwide and in Berlin, we exchange ideas with others on the topics of diversity orientation and inclusion, e.g.
- 2023 in the project „Roadmap Diversity and Inclusion“ in the context of Youth.Springboard.Culture - Network for Diversity and Inclusion in Cultural Youth Education of the State Association for Cultural Education Berlin
- 2023/24 in the project „"Shifting coordinates – broadening perspectives.". Diversity-oriented and anti-racist organizational development in the AdB”
- 2025/26 in the project s AdB project „SPREAD – Awareness Raising, Civic Education, Reflection, Empowerment, Ableism Deconstruction“
We have gained experience in recent years. For example, through the collaboration of Sign language interpreters in seminars with the Children's and Youth Parliament of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. Such collaborations help us to implement inclusion in a vibrant and practical way.
