A week of summer holidays with workshops ranging from civic and cultural education to sports activities.

The Wannsee Cruise is aimed at children and young people from low-income families as well as young people who have experienced discrimination. For one week, the Wannsee Forum was open to over 50 children and young people, allowing them to choose from and try out a diverse program of activities.

Besides the substantive exchange, the week was primarily characterized by the sports activities. Kickboxing, cricket, taekwondo, climbing, and ball sports were on the program. It was about more than just physical activity; it was about strengthening self-confidence and teamwork, discussing and practicing fair play, and finally, many exercises aimed at cooperative learning.

The range of creative activities was equally broad. Participants designed a weekly magazine, performed improvisational theater, filmed and edited videos, wrote texts in a poetry slam workshop, and built a marble run together. Workshops on anti-racism and empowerment, as well as on courage and motivation, were also offered.

In addition to these activities, there were events that brought the whole group together. The "Children to Power" Olympics playfully explored issues of social justice, and in a discussion with politician Christoph Keller (The Left Party), participants were able to ask their questions about Berlin politics directly. Even after the active daytime programs, the young people gathered in the evenings, for example around a campfire, making music, at a self-organized movie night, or for karaoke.

It was an eventful week with lots of activity, new experiences and encounters that will surely remain in the memories of many children and young people beyond the holidays.
