After the foundation wannseeFORUM Boats provided by a neighboring rowing club during the summer were used for the first time at the SV seminar from September 25th to 30th, 2016. A group of courageous students from the Ellen Key School, dem Goethe-Gymnasium and the X-ray School Accompanied by two teachers, they set off to explore the lake district around Wannsee. Equipped with life jackets and paddles, they paddled a large circuit on the water and then returned – thankfully dry. The students' reports were overwhelmingly positive, and we hope that next year we can offer many more students and other participants the opportunity to paddle around the lake.
After the students spent the afternoon gliding across the water, it was time to gather around the warm and, most importantly, dry campfire. Under the guidance of a school social worker, who is also a volunteer firefighter, the students lit the fire. Once it was blazing nicely, they could roast marshmallows or simply enjoy the warmth and the atmosphere. With this evening's festivities, the day came to an end, and the participants went to bed, ready for the next day.
