Learning, living and shaping democracy

Our seminar trips focus on democratic education. Children and young people learn how they can participate in school. We encourage them to do so. Student representatives, in Student parliaments or as Student mentors to become active. They learn and experience howco-determination It can work. They strengthen their knowledge of democracy and find their role in the community. In doing so, they not only learn important basics, simple processes, and good examples of participation, but also learn to develop their own potential.

Shaping and changing schools

In participation seminars, we work with artistic workshops. The students work throughout the week on an artistic project related to a socio-political topic.

The Student mentoring seminars At the wannseeFORUM, knowledge is combined with practice. Participants develop their own projects and work together to promote participation. Democratic collaboration is central to this approach. They are trained as mentors for the new seventh-grade classes at their school by team members who share their own experiences.

Participation: Youth Advisory Board

The jugendBEIRAT is actively involved in shaping the program of the wannseeFORUM. Its members carry out their own projects and contribute the perspective of young people to the foundation. Two members represent the youth advisory board with voting rights in the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
