The AI cat is cute and can talk. A distorted robot voice doubts this. Supercomputers as helpers and partners, or AI as a threat? The presentation boards of the "Interactive Comic" workshop group explored these questions. The "Stop Motion" and "Film" workshops also investigated the opportunities and dangers of artificial intelligence. How does it change everyday life and democratic society?
Under the title „AI Challenge: Critical and creative in the digitized society“ Trainees from the Louise-Schroeder-School explored different methods and media for dealing with AI.
They developed their own questions and discussed a wide range of aspects.
Examples from flipchart notes: „"AI & Democracy, AI & Jobs, Who created the news? Can AI replace me? Does AI support better communication? What role do emotions play? What role does AI play in decision-making and who takes responsibility for AI decisions? Social Media & Democracy: Echo chamber, misunderstandings, no real debate possible anymore?"“

In three of the parallel working Workshop groups They conceived and produced presentations appropriate to their workshop medium. Some of the results have been released for publication here.

Civic Perspective
This year, elections for the Berlin House of Representatives are taking place. For this reason, the wannseeFORUM is inviting politicians to engage in discussions with the young participants and support them in forming their opinions.
In this seminar, we were visited on May 20th by Klara Schedlich, Alliance 90/The Greens in the House of Representatives, spokesperson for youth policy, vocational training and sports policy.
The conversation covered many issues that concern young people in their everyday lives, such as inflation, housing, climate activism, AI and environmental protection, as well as crises and wars worldwide.
