„Image excerpt #bbb: Experiences and ideas from the practice of the »BilderBewegungBerlin«« is the input with which the wannseeFORUM would like to contribute to exchange and discussion on the role of photography in cultural and political youth education
From the program: “Click, post, like! Images are everywhere. But what makes a good image?” – this is how the nationwide call for entries for this year’s BilderBewegungBerlin (Image Movement Berlin), #bbb, invites young people between the ages of 16 and 26 to explore and experiment with different perspectives on the design, impact, and use of images in photography and film workshops. The eight-day seminar format is part of a long-standing collaboration between the wannseeFORUM Foundation and the German Children’s and Youth Film Center. The presentation will use #bbb as a starting point to share experiences and reflections from practical work: What does finding one’s own visual language have to do with democratic education? What challenges does the flood of images in a digital society pose for the design of learning processes? How can co-creation and participation be experienced in the seminar in order to be effective in the sense of empowerment?
