The election result in Saxony-Anhalt threatens the existence of our partner organization, the European Youth Education Centre Magdeburg (EJBM), which is also certified by the Council of Europe. The accompanying political change we are currently experiencing is not an abstract development. It has very concrete consequences for our work, for international youth cooperation, and for civic education.
Not only in Magdeburg, but everywhere where people are committed to an open, democratic and diverse society.
We continue to support our colleagues at EJBM. Together, we will continue our youth work and democratic education in Germany and Europe – so that young people from Saxony-Anhalt continue to have the opportunity to experience Berlin, Germany, Europe, and the wider world. Despite everything, together we are creating spaces where people with different perspectives and backgrounds can meet.
