Hanna Biamino was the director of the "Prisma Youth Center" in Berlin-Reinickendorf when she joined the Wannseeheim Association for Youth Work in 1972. From the beginning, she was actively involved in the curriculum committee, contributing her diverse experience from "Prisma," where she initially worked as a research consultant for a pilot project for young adults and later as the center's director.
From 1975 onwards, as an employee of Haus am Rupenhorn, a social work training center run by the Senate Department for Youth, her work there focused primarily on street social work and outreach youth social work. Through professional events in Rupenhorn and by inviting existing street work projects from other cities, she made a significant contribution to the promotion of street social work in Berlin by the Senate Department for Youth. It was therefore a logical step for her to assume the honorary position of chairwoman when Gangway e.V. was founded in 1990. She joined the board of trustees of wannseeFORUM when the foundation was established in 2011.
We thank Hanna Biamino for decades of dedication: on the curriculum committee of the wannseeFORUM/Wannseeheim for youth work, in collaborative projects between the wannseeFORUM and Haus am Rupenhorn educational centers, and on the board of trustees of the wannseeFORUM Foundation. In the collaboration between Gangway eV and the wannseeFORUM Foundation, Hanna's "passion project"—outreach-oriented, participatory, and emancipatory youth education work—has once again been taken up; this pleased her greatly.
