The morning of the third day was also dominated by discussions surrounding the seminar topic. Of particular interest were the developments towards inclusive youth work in the thirteen countries of the participants, which were illustrated, among other things, by the presentation of good practice examples.
There was also a lively exchange regarding the situation of youth work (recognition and visibility, financing opportunities, level of professionalization of pedagogical staff, etc.) in the various participating countries.
In the afternoon, the question of how to best support young people with various disabilities played a significant role. The use of stereotypes and prejudices regarding the abilities and needs of certain target groups, and the resulting denial of their autonomy, were identified as potential risks. The participating professionals and multipliers considered the creation of a trusting atmosphere and communication on equal terms, which empowers young people to express their own support needs, to be essential prerequisites for successfully promoting active participation in educational programs.
The seminar day finally ended with the Intercultural Night.
