The morning of the third day was also dedicated to discussions on the seminar topic. Of interest were the developments toward inclusive youth work in the thirteen countries represented by the participants, which was illustrated, among other things, by the presentation of good practice examples.
A lively exchange also took place regarding the situation of youth work (recognition and visibility, funding opportunities, level of professionalization of educational professionals, etc.) in the various participating countries.
In the afternoon, the question of how to support young people with various disabilities played a particularly important role. Relying on stereotypes and prejudices regarding the abilities and needs of certain target groups, and thus denying their independence, were identified as potential risks. The participating professionals and multipliers considered the creation of a trusting atmosphere and communication on equal terms, which enables young people to express their own support needs, to be essential prerequisites for successfully promoting active participation in their educational programs.
The seminar day finally ended with the Intercultural Night.
