The “ Marienthal Statement ” was adopted by the network of youth centers with the quality label of the Council of Europe at the European platform meeting of youth centers in Marienthal, from May 6th to 7th, 2025 !
It states that the Council of Europe's quality label for youth centers is the highest award for excellence in the work of youth centers.
The quality label stands for shared values and continuous development in European youth work. It connects youth centers in a pan-European network based on human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. The centers create spaces where young people can learn, participate, and develop. They collaborate across borders, share best practices, and promote innovation. The youth centers offer young people safe, inclusive spaces for non-formal learning and civic engagement
We are committed to giving young people knowledge, skills and opportunities – as well as the necessary support – so that they can become active members of society.
We call on decision-makers at all levels – local, regional, national and European – to recognize and support youth centers that hold or are striving for the quality seal.
