Neither the tropical temperatures nor the somewhat remote location of the wannseeFORUM Foundation deterred around 130 visitors from visiting the former Villa Joerger complex. Fortunately, the complex includes a park with shady trees, benches, and deck chairs. Equipped with coffee, cake, or water, the guests headed straight for the park to catch their breath before embarking on their subsequent tours, viewing the exhibition and examples of the foundation's work, and answering their many questions about the past and current use of this magnificent property.
The team of Uta Denzin, Roman Fröhlich, Gabriela Lamche, Susanne Müller, and Alena Salsa – supported by Steven Mastur, who ensured a continuous supply of coffee and cake – had their hands full. They had to answer the guests' various questions, explain the information panels, organize tours, and provide information about the garden design, the architecture and architects of the Landhaus, and, last but not least, the foundation's youth education work. The guests told us they found their visit to Pohlesee very worthwhile, and we gained many valuable insights from our conversations with them.
