The weather ultimately cooperated on this rather gray Sunday. The approximately 150 visitors who came to the wannseeFORUM Foundation for Open Monument Day in the afternoon were able to enjoy not only our delicious homemade cake and the building itself, but also the restored garden.
The trio (Uta Denzin, Gabriele Naundorf, and Heinz Blumensath), with excellent support from the center, were able to lead numerous tours, answering questions about the building's history, its past, and its current work.
The film "A Sentence about the wannseeFORUM" offered a glimpse into what the center means to the young people and the permanent and freelance staff.
And the children, who accompanied their (generous) parents and are often bored at such events, embarked on exploratory journeys, trying out the foosball table and the mysterious hollows beneath the large beech trees.
In short, it was a success that gives us courage for a sequel in 2015!
