In the four-day seminar of the Anne Frank Ambassadors Programme in February 2026, participants from all over Germany intensively examined various forms of discrimination and questions of contemporary remembrance.
The program included numerous activities: presentations, brainstorming sessions, discussions, practical exercises, evening games, and a trip to the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. As part of the Anne Frank Ambassador Program, young people are trained each year to become ambassadors who campaign against discrimination in their communities and develop diverse forms of remembrance. This year, the program was a collaboration between wannseeFORUM and the Anne Frank Center . Working in small groups, participants independently developed their own topics, presented their ideas to one another, and received feedback from experts. This resulted in an intensive and varied program characterized by hands-on work and mutual exchange.
With their project ideas, the young people are now returning to their hometowns to implement these projects. At the end of September 2026, the participants will be officially honored as Anne Frank Ambassadors. With this award, they assume the responsibility of passing on what they have learned and committing themselves in the long term to a democratic and diverse society.
