Can all women really cook? And are men always good with their hands? – Addressing prejudices is part of dealing with the diversity in our lives. The August Sander on the very first day of the seminar "Who is (not) different?! – Cultural Diversity and Communication," which took place from May 12th to 16th, 2014.
The participants explored the theme artistically and through media in three workshops: theater, hip hop, and digital photography. The resulting works were:
- a shadow theatre piece
- two rap songs (the tracks were recorded as part of the final presentation)
- as well as a digital photo story entitled "The New One" .
The key takeaway from the five days of seminars at wannseeFORUM was: We not only studied diversity, but also lived it in practice!
