How can thoughts, ideas, and perspectives be expressed using analog and digital means? The summer project of wannseeFORUM and Gangway eV became a makerspace with analog and digital techniques: 3D printing and modeling with clay, cutting plotter and linocut/etching, embroidery machine and manual embroidery became a testing ground.
The seminar offered diverse approaches to exploring forms of expression and engaging in dialogue on topics such as freedom and its limits, fashion as a means of expressing opinions and as part of identity formation, justice, and other socio-political issues.
Self-directed learning formed the basis of the seminar, just as it does in the Gangway e.V. Street College. Young people, lecturers, and social workers from the Street College, along with wannseeFORUM staff, practically tested the cooperation between a traditional educational institution and youth social work as mutual learners. The experiences gained from this joint summer project, held from July 22nd to 26th, 2024, will inform future collaborative seminars – including one in the summer of 2025.
The seminar was a collaboration with Gangway eV
and was funded by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family.

It took place as part of the collaboration in the program “Political Youth Education in the AdB” in the project group “Social Question and Political Participation” , funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
