Seminar results

In the theatre workshop, various theatre techniques focusing on body work, voice, and rhythm were explored within the context of the theme "Roots." The central focus was on examining origins, connections, and rootedness, as well as collaboration within the group. The diverse forms of expression were woven together into a cohesive artistic whole. The workshop encouraged participants to experiment boldly, reflect on personal and cultural references, and take creative risks. The goal was to foster the participants' creativity and collaboratively develop an imaginative and original performance.

In the dance workshop on the theme of "Roots," traditional and modern African dance movements were combined into a vibrant expression of rhythm, energy, and joy. The focus was on dance as a cultural practice that reflects history, community, and identity.

Together, participants explored their connection to their roots, felt the rhythm within their bodies, and experienced music as a guiding force. With great energy and expressiveness, they were able to freely shape their movements and discover their personal strength. The workshop offered an open space for everyone – regardless of prior experience – to experience the power and spirit of African dance.

In the "Experimental Music" workshop, participants improvised, experimented, and developed their own music together. The focus was on creative improvisation techniques, guided by the theme and opening space for personal musical ideas.
A particular emphasis was placed on "returning to the roots" of music: participants built and played their own monochords, exploring fundamental sounds and resonances.
The collaboratively created music was then performed in an appreciative and open presentation, where the shared musical experience took center stage.
