Digitalization is already permeating our lives. December 2016 offered news of hacker attacks on the US election as well as of a bright new future in a smart city like Berlin by 2030. How do we want to and can we act in a networked world today and tomorrow, and how can we prepare children and young people for it? Fifty student teachers from the Anna Freud School explored this question from December 12th to 16th, 2016, using different media and focusing on various aspects of the topic.

The workshop group "Staged Reading" focused on questions of law and justice, individual development, and the framework for this within a democratic society. In the live performance "Case File Captain Future," participants staged the reading of their texts, excerpts of which can be found in a trailer and some of which are also available online as PDFs .

What skills do we need to interpret images in a globalized world and to consciously and reflectively produce them ourselves in order to convey content? What role do smart devices, constantly ready to take a photo, already play for us, for children, and for young people? In an exhibition, the participants of the black and white photography workshop group presented their perspectives on these questions. (Documentation of the black and white photography workshop group will be added later.).
