The current group of volunteers from the LJR spent their final trip at the wannseeFORUM. Under the theme "New Beginnings," they developed a variety of exciting projects during this week.

To conclude their year of voluntary service together as a group, the 2023/2024 cohort of volunteers spent a week at the wannseeFORUM. Working on the timely theme of "New Beginnings," the group explored analog photography, film, painting, and music.

Hanging on a wall are many different pieces of analog black and white photographic prints. In some, individual people and houses can be discerned.

The analog black and white photography workshop generated diverse impulses that addressed the concept of "new beginnings" in a variety of ways and encouraged reflection. The works incorporated themes such as feminism, social division and cohesion in Berlin, as well as wordplay on the topic.

The painting workshop produced equally impressive projects. The participants first built their own picture frames and then began to paint. The paintings included various places and perspectives of the world, as well as more abstract art.

From above, you see two goldfish swimming in a circle, one behind the other. The picture was painted on a canvas.

The film workshop presented a documentary this week about a rock band that broke up after the sudden death of its lead singer. At the same time, the documentary showed how significant changes can occur both professionally and personally.

The presentation was rounded off with an emotional band performance by the music workshop participants . Over the course of the week, the participants wrote and composed their own songs, which they then rehearsed together and performed live for the group.

We would like to thank all contributors for this seminar and wish the participants all the best for the future and on their further path.
