In the seminar “Google, Facebook & Co. – Self-Determination and External Control in the Globalized Media Society” in April 2015, the multimedia workshop group created the blog entitled The Internet Age . Whether radio, rap or comic workshop – all revolved around new opportunities and constraints, personal interests and those of business and government in the use and shaping of the internet.

The radio group produced an interview of with Nicolas FacebookRück from Wikimedia to find out how Wikimedia works and how people can contribute to it. They also created features on and tracking . The topic surveillance was also central to the rap workshop and its rap production . The comic group demonstrated how new products can make life—and surveillance—smart, convenient, and seamless in their "Smart City Concept" for Berlin.

Many questions naturally remained unanswered for the participants – trainees in office management at the Louise-Schroeder-School. Digital self-determination and external control is a current topic for all of us.
