Who, how, what is home? The seminar from May 8th to 13th, 2017, with participants from the Voluntary Year in Cultural Education in Berlin, focused on different approaches and perspectives on home.
The seminar title "Homelands" already hinted at the idea that, instead of a clear definition, a multitude of answers could be found. The seminar results confirm this. In the photographic and film workshops—black and white photography, digital photography, and experimental short film—very diverse discussions and images emerged, all depicting a plurality of "homelands." A selection of the resulting works is published here, offering insights into different visual worlds of "homeland."
