We all have prejudices. Prejudice-aware education is one way to deal with them.
“It is easier to split an atom than a prejudice.” Albert Einstein’s quote also played a role in the seminar “Just a Stereotype – Cultural Diversity and Communication” held from March 23-28, 2015.
Thirty-six participants asked questions, discussed, and researched the origins of stereotypes and prejudices. They documented some of their findings from workshop groups, such as staged readings, multimedia, and black-and-white photography, as well as seminar impressions, on a digital bulletin board . Both professionally, as aspiring educators, and privately, they are taking away new perspectives on prejudice-aware education from the seminar.
