What a wonderful autumn week we had at Wannsee in Berlin!
We can look back on a successful first Berlin "Make Green!" camp on the topic of the city of the future:
24 young people spent six days with us at the wannseeFORUM and explored the topic of city, life and work in the future in the audio, construction and theatre workshops.
In addition to daily work in the workshops, there was an extensive program with excursions, workshops, challenges and leisure activities, in which the young people repeatedly engaged with sustainability, social and ecological change and the greening of professions.
The girls and boys visited, among other places, the BSR waste incineration plant, where waste is burned to generate energy – the giant claw is impressive!
At Innoz on the EUREF Campus, the latest mobility concepts for the city of the future were presented, the architecture firm SCHARABI spoke about ecological house construction with wood, and on the urban gardening tour, the young people learned about self-sufficiency concepts and alternative forms of living in the city.
In the evenings back at the wannseeFORUM we made ourselves comfortable with acoustic guitar and marshmallows around the campfire, wild dances and viral hits at the disco, relaxed film watching in the Blue Salon or square dance choreography during the video shoot for the challenge that the Woodcamp from Waldbröl in NRW had set for us.
At the end of the week, the results of the workshops can be seen at the presentation with parents and friends:
A play with various scenes and the sustainability barometer as a mood indicator, a short film in the built city of the future including an exhibition by the construction workshop, and a radio play by the audio workshop about a self-driving car and the conversations with its passengers.
I learned a lot this week, had fun, discussed, produced, wrote, recorded, crafted and played!
