In the second participatory seminar this September, students who are involved in student government, working groups or as class representatives were invited to explore the topic of "responsibility" in artistic workshops.

On Monday, the students first played some icebreaker games, followed by presentations from the two schools. These presentations highlighted the extent of student participation at both schools, Röntgen Secondary School and Sophie Brahe School , and outlined current issues and projects
Later, the nearly 30 participants were able to split up into the workshops. Artistic workshops were offered in the areas of film, podcasting, and theater.

Over the course of the week, the theater workshop developed a play that explored the theme of responsibility in a variety of ways. The focus was on the responsibility of influencers, for example on YouTube, and simultaneously on one's own responsibility when using social media. This theme was then applied to school life and also to parents and guardians. The play culminated in a gripping courtroom scene and an open ending that again addressed critical YouTube content aimed at young people.
Although the podcast workshop had to cancel the recording due to technical difficulties, they were able to hold a live reading of the prepared texts on Friday. The topics addressed, in an informative way, were responsibility in relation to drug use and bullying in schools. Listeners gained a great deal of knowledge about drugs and their effects, especially on minors.
The final presentation was given by the film workshop, which, although it had to forgo a video, was able to offer a theatrical performance instead. They staged a horror play that explored responsibilities within friendships and also took a critical look at the media and reporting.
Thanks to the beautiful weather, we were able to end the evenings with activities such as a campfire, a walk, or karaoke.
This exciting week came to a successful close on Friday with the presentations. We thank everyone involved and hope that the students from both schools were able to take away not only new acquaintances but also inspiration and ideas for their participation work at school.
The seminar was funded by the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family.
