"You're far too young to have a say. You're far too inexperienced to understand this."

Unfortunately, this is still too often the reaction when young people speak out about current crises and demand change. But we are neither "too" young nor inexperienced; we are the "future" of society. That makes it all the more important that, after two years of the pandemic, the issues facing young people are once again brought more prominently into the focus of society.

At the one-day workshop on August 28, 2022, at the Center for Art and Urbanistics (ZK/U) in Moabit, you'll have the chance to do just that: Together with other young people, you can paint your own picture of our generation and creatively express your opinions, thoughts, and feelings. We'll discuss everything related to the important topic of "the future," look at it from different perspectives, and design posters together that will then be printed on large-format billboards throughout Berlin. That means your opinion could soon be hanging in the streets of Berlin and visible to everyone!

In order for us, Jule Küppers and Felix Pestemer, to prepare everything behind the scenes for a smooth process, we need some information from you.

A little about us:

Jule Küppers has been completing her voluntary service at the wannseeFORUM Foundation since September 2021. Previously, she attended school near Frankfurt am Main and in Istanbul. Jule is a founding member of the youth advisory board and advocates for the structural participation of young people.

Felix Pestemer studied Fine Arts in Berlin and Illustration in Barcelona. Since then, he has worked at the intersection of both disciplines. His label, Puttbill, encompasses picture book parables and narrative graphic series; at the heart of his artistic work are the themes of transience, intangible appreciation, and the deterritorialization of signs and symbols.
