On Saturday, June 8th, we at wannseeFORUM celebrated our traditional summer festival – the first ever organized by the wannseeFORUM Foundation. Thanks to the beautiful weather, the festival lived up to its name, and our guests were able to enjoy the program, the conversations, our park, and the diverse culinary offerings in summery temperatures.
Political representatives, such as Björn Eggert, Member of the German Bundestag and youth policy spokesperson for the SPD, Holger Krestel, Member of the German Bundestag and member of the FDP, as well as Alexander Spies, Member of the German Bundestag and Pirate Party member, seemed thoroughly impressed – by the staged reading "Protest Remix" (developed by students from the Thomas Mann School, the Solling School, and the Carl von Ossietzky School), the buffet, the musical delights provided by DJ Norman and the Brassgirls, the insights into our educational work, the circus skills of Circus Zack, and last but not least – in modern parlance – by relaxing in the park. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks once again to all our guests – the members of the Bundestag and the state parliaments, the participating students, teachers, guest lecturers, cooperation partners, and neighbors – for coming and celebrating with us.
