The 10th cycle of the youth dialogue focused on the opinions and demands of young people regarding "inclusive societies." The wannseeFORUM was able to actively participate in this process.
Since July 2023, the Youth Dialogue opinions of young people on the topic of “inclusive societies” and discussing them with youth representatives from Europe at the EU Youth Conference in March 2024.
The collected demands were forwarded in Germany to the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth , but were also addressed by the national working group and monitored throughout Germany.
Several projects of the wannseeFORUM serve as examples of implemented demands for youth education centers. The need for easier access to preventative healthcare and support with mental health issues was addressed at the wannseeFORUM through the Lakesidelab "Mental Health – A Human Right?" , held in October 2023 , and through the annual TBB seminar with FSJ participants, " The Power of Emotions: Dealing with Feelings, Stress, and Crises ."
The Wannsee Forum also increasingly focused on promoting inclusive learning environments in non-formal and informal education . For example, new renovations were initiated to improve access, and seminars promoted the direct outreach and inclusion of young people with special educational needs.
We are very pleased to be part of this cycle and are working to further incorporate and make visible the demands and opinions of young people as a youth education center in our building.
