The villa, sold to the US authorities in 1951 by the Jörger heirs, is part of a complex built between 1906 and 1908 by the architects Breslauer & Salinger. As an American contribution to the democratization of Germany, the Wannseeheim Educational Center for Youth Work was established here. Today, the wannseeFORUM Foundation uses the building for political and cultural youth education.
It is a symbol of the promotion of democracy and human rights.
