What role does sustainability play in the work of student representatives at Berlin schools? As a collaborative project between EPIZ – Center for Global Learning in Berlin, Schule ein Gesicht geben eV (Giving a Face to Schools Association) and the wannseeFORUM Foundation, student representatives from three schools met from August 30th to September 3rd, 2021, in the seminar “MITMISCHEN POSSIBLE” (Participation Possible) to explore opportunities for involvement.
As input, for example, there was a seminar day with representatives of the German Federal Youth Association (Bundjugend) on environmental protection and sustainability.
Through mutual exchange and new ideas for student council work and sustainability, the participants developed project ideas for their own student council activities at their schools.

In addition, there were several training modules for the accompanying teachers, in which they exchanged ideas on strengthening participation in everyday school life.

Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium, Johann-Gottfried-Herder-Gymnasium, and Nelson-Mandela-Schule.
