“More Time for Beautiful Things” and “Artificial Intelligence – Real Prejudices” are the titles of two motion comics by trainees at the Louise-Schroeder-School. These and other exciting seminar results from “Digital Living? Present and Future with AI!” in July 2025 offer insights into the discussion surrounding artificial intelligence for our coexistence today and in the future.
How do AI systems affect our everyday lives? How should AI be trained so that it strengthens democratic discourse and does not manipulate it? What avenues are needed for participation and involvement when it comes to our individual and societal future in a digitized world? Trainees contributed their perspectives as young adults to these fundamental questions.
With openness, curiosity, and creative means, they sought different perspectives, researched, and discussed.
Their starting point was always the connection to their lived reality, with the goal of developing new ideas and options for action as responsible participants in society – both online and offline, today, tomorrow, and the day after.
In five parallel workshops, participants engaged intensively with artificial intelligence. The workshop groups tested AI to varying degrees.
Seminar results
The workshop group describes their project as follows:
“Artificial intelligence is increasingly affecting more and more areas of our everyday lives. With a view to the interpersonal relationships that people build with one another, we examined AI applications. An experiment provides insights into how artificial intelligence applications interact with each other. Against this backdrop, we asked ourselves how the humanization of AI can be evaluated and whether we find it ethically justifiable.”
Podcast cover created with AI (Canva and Midjourney)
An interview with Prof. Dr. med. Dominik Müller reveals how AI is already being used in the medical field. He describes the hopes and challenges that arise, and also how the relationship between doctors and patients is changing through the use of AI. Furthermore, we examined the use of AI in nursing care . AI will play an increasingly important role in the future, which is why it makes sense to consider now how AI should be used in society and in our private lives, and what an ideal approach to it might look like.

Will AI give us more free time? Will it relieve us of the need to think? Will it replace and displace humans, taking control of everything? Are we developing a human relationship with AI, and what role do data training or concepts like truth or love play in this? Does artificial intelligence reinforce our prejudices by reproducing stereotypes? These are just some of the questions that the participants in the MotionComic workshop addressed in their animations in a variety of ways

"Depth," "My God," "Excerpts from the activity log of AI entity 10849287295,"
"Devastation," "CONNECTION_How meat loves code," "Transmutatio Noumena,"
"ALUFOLIE," and "QN-11_raten" are the titles of the texts created by the participants themselves. In German and English, they explored artificial intelligence and expressed their perspectives artistically in various forms such as essays, screenplays, poems, research protocols, and more. They presented their impressive work in an interactive installation. One presentation challenged viewers to guess whether the displayed text had been created by a human or AI.
All texts released for publication can be read in a downloadable PDF (approx. 4MB).
How can we approach AI in a playful way? Board and card games offer freedom while simultaneously imposing limitations through their rules. Similarly, when dealing with artificial intelligence – partly due to the new European AI regulation – the question arises of what rules and scope we need. In exploring artificial intelligence, the workshop participants developed their own ideas and, with the help of others,

„Story:
You are Human Intelligences (HIs) – brilliant software developers at the company Hechtwerst, working together to create a powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) named RALF.
RALF is intended to improve the world and solve human problems and crises. But its progress is not linear: every development can also lead to setbacks. Only through skillful resource management and cooperation can you achieve the goals in three increasingly challenging

Hackers and artists work together to guess a hidden target word. The artificial intelligence (AI) tries to distract the hacker from the target word – either to the wrong word or to another incorrect word."

Our understanding of the world and the formation of opinions will continue to be strongly influenced by images as constructions of reality. Image-generating AI models draw on existing material and often reproduce stereotypes, prejudices, and nostalgic imagery. AI thus influences our perception of reality not only in terms of content but also in form.
“Creativity,” “Not Generable,” “Imperfect,” “Artificial Interpretation,” “Synthetic Silence,” “Back to Nature,” “LGBTQAI,” and “The History of the Image”are the titles of the image series conceived and photographed by participants in the Analog Black and White Photography Workshop on AI-related issues. They developed their own films and prints in the darkroom. Photographs of works fromtheir jointly developed final exhibition can be seen in this PDF (approx. 17 MB).
