Our goal: An inclusive learning environment for everyone

We want to be a place where diversity is embraced. We stand for open-mindedness and diversity. Our goal is to create an inclusive, barrier-free learning environment that meets the diverse needs of people. Here, everyone can learn together, regardless of their origin, age, religion, gender, or life circumstances.

Everyone is welcome here, regardless of cultural or social background, religion or worldview, gender or sexual orientation, or health limitations.
Unfortunately, our building is not yet fully accessible. We are working to remove barriers.

Our house is open to all people who democratic values . Diversity enriches us. We promote respect, tolerance, and equality.
These values ​​are based on the German Basic Law and the European Convention on Human Rights .

Respect is of paramount importance to us. It shapes our interactions with children, young people, staff, and guests. Our Respect Charter demonstrates how we live this value. It provides guidance for fair and respectful interaction.
The Respect Charter applies to everyone at wannseeFORUM: staff, partners, participants, and guests, both on-site and online.

Safe learning spaces for all

We prioritize
protection of children and young people We want to create safe learning environments where everyone feels welcome and protected. Our child protection policy helps us prevent risks and act appropriately in emergencies.

Our child and youth protection concept was developed between January and September 2025 through a participatory process. Experts from the Berlin Child Protection Center supported us throughout. Full-time staff, representatives from the board of trustees, the executive board, the youth advisory board, as well as cooperation partners, freelance professionals, and young people contributed their perspectives.

It is a living document. We regularly review and develop it further. In this way, we are evolving into an inclusive learning environment with barrier-free access that is safe for all children and young people.
